モー娘。からの脱退を発表した。

リーダーとして模範とならなければならない立場にありながら、
それを裏切ったことへのケジメとして脱退することを自ら決断。
事務所も了承した。

藤本はファンに対し、
「申し訳ない気持ちでいっぱいです。本当にごめんなさい。
　これからは『藤本美貴』として頑張っていきます」と謝罪した。
