そんな北野に対し、
「たけしさんはいろんな意味で特別。それだけに勝ちたい。
しかし、何をもって勝ちというのかは、今は言いたくないです」
と、ライバル意識を露にした。
実際に映画を見てはいないので、なんともコメントが出来ないのですが、
会場の感想では「（松本の映画は）よく分からなかった」という

が並んでいたみたいです。
どうしてもこの２人が比較されているように見えるのですが、
個人的には多少はネームブランドも関係してくると思います。
そういう意味では北野武監督の方が知名度もあり、
初監督作品にしてカンヌに招待された松本人志には多少不利だったのでは？
日本では北野武監督の「監督・ばんざい！」と松本人志の「大日本人｣が
６月２日、同じ日に公開されますが、期待が高まりますね。
